Good Morning Gorgie

A free social activities group for the over 55’s and with disabled access, run by Health All Round. Tea, coffee, biscuits followed by various activities and finishing up with a lunch which is home made soup and crusty bread. No need to prebook, just turn up for a warm welcome.

The Welcoming is a Scottish charity dedicated to supporting asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in Edinburgh. We do this by: Supporting New Scots to learn English, find jobs and access local services. Offering opportunities for friendship, sustainable living, creativity, health and well-being. Colla Castellera Edinburgh

Castells is a Catalan tradition which gathers local communities into Colles (teams) and consists in building different human towers. It is about teamwork and social cohesion; people of all ages, from grandpas to grandchildren, of all heights and constitutions, all gathering together to achieve a common goal.

Tango Dancing

Authentic Argentine Tango at SMCRC is led by Dance Artist Ani Tchakmakdjian. We have Classes, Practice Sessions and Special Events. Total beginners and all are very welcome. You can come with or without a partner. This is Tango made easy, taught in a fun, relaxed, supportive environment with a very friendly group, so you learn all the basics and more to get you dancing with confidence at the many social dance evenings Edinburgh has to offer.
